Itinerary:
9:00 AM – Departure from Giardini Naxos / Taormina / Letojanni and surrounding areas. Aboard our 4x4 vehicles, we’ll follow the scenic Alcantara Valley, reaching Sella Mandrazzi, where we’ll leave the main road (SS185) and begin an off-road adventure.
This panoramic route takes us through the Wind Farm, located along the ridge that separates the Nebrodi Mountains from the Peloritani Mountains, offering breathtaking views of the Aeolian Islands.
We’ll continue on to the majestic Rocca Salvatesta (1,300 meters), also known as the "Matterhorn of Sicily" due to its distinctive shape. Here we’ll enjoy an easy one-hour hike at the base of the peak, surrounded by pristine nature.
After the hike, we’ll descend to Novara di Sicilia, officially recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. We’ll visit the charming old water mill and stop for lunch in the heart of the village, with the opportunity to taste and purchase local specialties, such as the renowned Maiorchino cheese and delicious hazelnut desserts.
